Panta Rei is a project born from the research of the misty topic, for first analyzing the translation of the word and continuing with the word’s sense and its semiotic ties. Misty is a natural phenomenon, similar at the fog, caused by tiny water droplets suspended in the air. Beyond this precise meaning, the word has many synonyms such as: foggy, unclear, murky, fuzzy, obscure, blurred, vague, dim, opaque, cloudy, hazy, overcast, bleary, nebulous, indistinct, confused, muzzy and various associations as evocative : misty rain, misty night, misty montains, misty feeling, misty music. The synonyms I believe give me the visionary sense of mystical, infinite, are: nebulous, blurred and hazy. Nebulous reminds me foggy, cloudy, blurred as faded, hazy as unclear, undefined.

# CONCEPT MOODBARD

The Fusion of all of these words make  me imagine the raw material from which everything comes, the Universe, the space, the nebula, transforming them quickly into the theme of the collection. Thinking entirely to the open space, dark and unknown, gives me a confused view, changing my perception.
Nebulae, as the name suggests, are clouds with attractive colors, dazzling lights and known extraordinary forms that we find everywhere on our planet. They attract the eye like a magnet, giving the appearance of hiding deeply secrets, under gas domes buried.
Technically the nebulas are dead stars that have our same origin, far far back in time, when a large mega explosion generated all: the Big Bang Theory. The idea that everything is originate from a spark, makes  the nature uniform, which is why the extraterrestrials images seem to be so familiar.
The Tree of Life by T. Malick is a recent movie with actuality current themes, such as the human existential and all that surrounds him. The feature is the philosophical approach in the relationship between the contemporary and nowadays in which it raises.
Malick emphasizes that everything has its life cycle, the end of one is the beginning of a new one, the uniformity principle that moves everything. The absolute beauty that you can try in life, it’s life itself.
Up to 60’s was considered only three dimensions: length, width and depth, however with the first photographs and studies about the space beyond Earth, has begun to talk about for another, new one forth dimension: the time. From that moment the relationship space/time cohabits in an indissoluble bond.
The cinema, as art, has always tried to capture the spirit of the time by using it as a subject. Since the space themes, a wide variety of movies took over and built several curious aspects of these mood. In the legacy catalog of our time there are two great examples, whose importance has been marked by awards and worldwide success.
2001: A Space Odyssey and The Tree of Life. They both recognized as masterpieces for dealt themes and stylistic choices, in which there have many elements in common.
2001: A Space Odyssey by S. Kubrick, very important film for the decade of the Space Age, has not direct links with philosophy as Malick film has, but it changed the history and future of the science fiction gender.
The problems faced by Kubrick are various, among them there are the bond space/time, the universal uniformity, the human expansion, the technology view as the next step of evolution.
All this describes a perfect circular system that works like a singular mind that observes and protects itself. There is no only philosophical relation, the movie also highlights a scientific one: the conservation of energy theorem. The law of conservation of energy states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant - it is said to be conserved over time.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it transforms from one form to another. Exploring for a parallel with this concept, when creating something new, the human brain really not invent anything but transforms something already present in his random. The brain has a coded background that allows him to see the universe in a certain way.
When it creates something, it doesn't invent anything that has never existed but only makes a path in his deep memory . By using the same logic, all the forms and the colors in nature have a uniforme origin.
